Training for that important match this upcoming weekend or putting in a few extra hours of study for your approaching exam? For elite athletes, it’s not always easy to balance a successful sports career with outstanding academic performance. One often comes at the expense of the other. However, it can be different. Our school has the facilities to make that combination a success. This way, we can ensure that your child is truly prepared for both: a top sports career and success in their final exams.

Ready for topsport talents

We are very pride in being one of the Topsport Talentscholen (TTS) in the Netherlands since August 1, 2013. This means that we have the status of a LOOT foundation, an official recognition from the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science. With this status, we are authorized to provide education for top sports talents who have received a special talent sport status from NOC*NSF, the Dutch sports federation. These are the real sports promises of the future!

The top sports talent education is a perfect way to combine sports and academics. In principle, students follow the regular curriculum, but if it conflicts with their training and competition schedule, we can adjust the pace and content of their education. Whether it’s different exam times, modifications to the class schedule, or additional support when needed, one thing is certain: we ensure that the level of the final diploma remains intact.

To be placed as a top sports talent, a ‘top sports talent status’ from the respective sports federation is a prerequisite. The school expects all these top talent students to have a proactive attitude, a sports-oriented mentality, good planning skills, a healthy dose of work discipline, and a lot of initiative.
